Purpose

  • You will be responsible for the preparation and execution of project developments implementing or extending software solutions;
  • this entails requirements gathering and analysis, liaising with IT to prepare complex projects, preparation and execution of testing as well as documentation and training activities.

    You will also be responsible for participation in support post-go-live by treating end user requests, which requires problem analysis involving IT where needed, creation and follow-up of IT requests using a ticket management system and creation of ad-hoc reporting used for decision making.

    Specific Post Environment (if applicable)

  • The Transaction Management and Restructuring Directorate (TMR) monitors counterparts and contracts and acts on contractual events under its responsibility, as well as on distressed transactions, to protect EIB's financial interests and reputation.
  • The Directorate is responsible for the Financial Monitoring, Event Resolution and Restructuring of (i) EU and non-EU debt counterparts, (ii) EU and non-EU fully invested funds and equity.

  • TMR is also responsible for developing and updating Bank-wide Financial Monitoring Guidelines and NPE Procedures.
  • The Systems and Data Management (SDM) unit part of the Coordination, Compliance & Support division. It is responsible for providing business support and for driving developments in the area of various IT applications used within the TMR operational divisions.
  • This reaches from customised package solutions (e.g. SharePoint) to in-house developed applications supporting the different activities of TMR.

    Operating Network

  • As (Senior) Project Manager / Business Analyst, internally referred to as (Senior) Officer, you will report to the Head of Unit and / or Division and will cooperate closely with similar services in other user Directorates and will have contact internally with the different operational divisions within TMR as well as IT partners and external software providers.
  • Accountabilities

  • Preparation and execution of major complex project developments, implementing or extending software solutions :
  • requirements gathering and analysis,
  • liaising with TMR coordination unit to define process (changes),
  • interacting with other directorates,
  • liaising with IT to prepare the project, preparation and execution of testing as well as documentation and training activities
  • Participation in support post-go-live by treating end user requests, which requires problem analysis involving IT where needed, creation and follow-up of IT requests using a ticket management system (BMC)
  • Creation of ad-hoc reporting used for decision making
  • Knowledge Sharing within the unit, with business divisions within TMR and also beyond
  • Independent organisation and lead of inter-directorate working groups
  • Contribute with holistic view on EIB application landscape to design consistent and extendable solutions
  • Coaching and guiding junior team members and consultants
  • Challenge existing processes in a constructive way by suggesting improvements, driving their continuous evolution
  • Stay up-to-date with business knowledge by following relevant trainings
  • Qualifications

  • University degree in Information Technology, Finance or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years relevant professional experience in Information Management environment preferably in a corporate, banking or international organisation.
  • Very solid business background either by study or experience in the field of risk management and specifically in the area of credit risk and / or solid experience in financial analysis and / or monitoring
  • Solid experience in Business Analysis and Project Management
  • Knowledge of project management principles, methods and practices in an Information Management environment
  • Hands-on experience using SQL and reporting solutions (Business Objects)
  • Solid experience in document drafting (English) and preparation of presentations
  • Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft desktop tools (particularly Windows, MS Office, Web browsers, Adobe, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written English and / or French* language skills and a good command of the other.
