Job Purpose

TMF Fund Services is growing and we have opened the position of Senior AML Officer within the Shareholder Services Department.

The role offers the successful candidate a great opportunity to develop and fine tune his / her Investor AML / KYC knowledge within the AML Team and gain insight into Transfer Agency activities related to investor trading and interaction with Fund Managers and other third parties.

As a key role within Shareholder Services, the Senior AML Officer will closely work together with the other AML Officers to ensure client and investors queries are addressed in a timely manner.

That the investor onboarding process runs smoothly, and accounts are maintained strictly adhering with the applicable policies, procedures, laws and regulations.

Next to the day-to-day operational tasks the role will also encompasses active participation in special projects, providing input and identifying areas of opportunity for the team.

Key responsibilities

  • Review and processing of investor onboarding and ongoing investor due diligence requirements within the Shareholder Services Team.
  • This includes review of AML / KYC and FATCA / CRS documentation, on a periodic and ad hoc basis.

  • On-boarding new clients and their investors, providing continuous excellent client service, exceeding expectations, answering queries from investors and fund managers.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders / clients.
  • Ensuring a professional, timely response and processing of client / investor queries and instructions.
  • Ensuring policies, procedures and checklists are always adhered to in accordance with standards.
  • Preparing monthly / quarterly / ad-hoc reporting.
  • Actively participating or being responsible for specific operational or regulatory projects.
  • Supporting internal and external audits.
  • Observing deadlines, understanding and applying the rules and representations of the fund and ensure that they are adhered to.
  • Day-to-day team activities including tasks related to transaction processing, cashflow monitoring, reconciliation of operations and share register maintenance.
  • Building and managing client and investor relationships, enhancing the TMF experience, providing a high standard of client service.
  • Your profile

  • University degree and / or 4-5 years relevant work experience within Fund Services in the Alternative Investment Funds industry.
  • Knowledge of fund legal structures in Luxembourg.
  • Knowledge of AML / KYC laws in Luxembourg and processes.
  • Team player that enjoys taking responsibility and can work independently.
  • Detailed oriented and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Well organised with a sense of prioritisation, flexible and stress resistant.
  • Fluent in English. Fluency in another European language is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of Excel.
  • Knowledge of Investran and Viewpoint is a plus.
