We are looking for someone who is willing to contribute to building a world class last-mile operation and who is hungry, curious and willing to learn on the fly with laser focus on results.
The role will oversee the coordination of all aspects of on road delivery capacity while working with various upstream stakeholders to keep the network executing on a regular basis and during peaks.
The role will also lead key strategic operational and cost projects that allow us to improve our services to the customers by working closely with the tech, launch or delivery experience teams.
As part of on road planning team for Amazon Logistics, you will be signing up for :
a) Building a robust planning and execution process for last mile planning that will serve as the bedrock for the growth of Amazon Logistics in Europe
b) An opportunity to reinvent, own and drive an entire gamut of last mile metrics for Amazon Logistics across various geographies thereby delivering high impact
c) Building and executing strategic plans for last mile capacity to fulfill customer demand in the most efficient and cheapest way possible
d) Work with various stakeholders across technology, process, business intelligence, operations and upstream functions across the business to lead end to end on-road planning
e) A host of unique problem statements in the logistics world with an opportunity to own and drive from inception to execution
f) Drive standardizations and automations of tools and processes to build scalable execution plans with operations and program teams
g) Lead and execute the end to end planning for key events like Prime day
Preferred qualifications Not having some of the skills is not a deal breaker - if you are hungry to learn and deliver, we will provide enough avenues for you to get up to speed.
a) Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems or related field
b) 7+ years of experience in application and leveraging analytic skills to drive business and operations planning
c) Knowledge of SQL / ETL and visualization tools like tableau is a plus and extensive knowledge of excel
d) An ability and interest to work in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment
e) Experience in project management, handling multiple priorities, and working with varied stakeholders.
f) A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations
g) Interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
