We are growing and building this new function as we speak and currently looking for several Category Managers for Indirect Purchasing to join us on this journey!

The position is based in Sweden at our Landskrona office but we are definitely open to consider any other location for the right candidate!

What will you do as a Category Manager IT

In this role you will be responsible for the IT category across Europe with the ambition to develop and execute the strategies of ASSA ABLOY and consolidate the spend to strategic partners and reduce both complexity and cost.

The ASSA ABLOY Group purchases IT products and services globally for approximately 100 Million EUR.

Standardization within IT is becoming more and more important due to the increasing collaboration between Group companies and forming strong partnerships with our strategic suppliers of information technology is a critical success factor in supporting our ambitious IT Transformation initiatives.

You will have the functional responsibility for all procurement activities in the Divisions related to the category, which includes ensuring that the regions execute the strategy and action plans and that this translates into results that are visible in the P / L.

This role involves a lot of exciting cooperation with the Global IT sourcing team, the divisional IT organisations and local IT organizations.

Your fruitful cooperation with the right stakeholders at different levels of the organization will allow you to reach the goals for the divisions and optimize the supplier base and processes for IT sourcing.

One of the main tasks will be to ensure that the divisional and local strategies are aligned in order to maximize the leverage of the overall IT category.

Your helicopter view and understanding of the area will help you manage, monitor and report on the progress and improvements.

You will also

  • Create category strategy / plans and secure execution in liaison with management and stakeholders
  • Make sure proper internal and external governance is in place by developing relevant reporting and KPI and the implementation of relevant tools
  • Be a point of contact for the category to ensure best practice sharing across the Divisions and countries
  • Work with the local stakeholders to make sure the category strategy delivers according to expectation and according to overall targets
  • Make sure relevant regulations and policies are followed
  • Report performance of the Category
  • Identify and select, indirect suppliers within the framework of the Company’s strategic direction
  • Leverage the Group size through consolidation of volumes to the best selected suppliers per category
  • Long term strategic development of the supplier base through a strong consolidation of spend
  • Be re for initiating and driving improvements in the procurement process within the category including the source to pay process
  • The skills and experience you need

    We are looking for someone who has :

  • BSc level in Industrial Management / Engineering / Logistics / Economics or IT
  • At least 5 years of work experience in a diverse, complex and dynamic organization
  • Experience on strategic development of IT sourcing or solid IT knowledge / interest
  • Experience within procurement and financial competence of evaluating suppliers and business cases potential would be highly appreciated
  • Strong personal drive and commitment to deliver on time results with excellent business acumen
  • Leadership to encourage and motivate people to implement sustainable improvements
  • Understanding of how the interrelationship of processes, technologies, and people create results, and understands how to create mutually beneficial opportunities for ASSA ABLOY and suppliers
  • Flexible and open minded, with a persistent and can-do attitude
  • Strong analytical skills, organization skills, ability to read and manipulate large volume of data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels of company associates and suppliers
