The Network / Security Engineer provides a service to clients to ensure that their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational through proactively identifying, investigating and resolving technical incidents and problems and to restore service to clients by managing incidents to resolution.

MAIN DUTIES / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure that assigned IT Infrastructure at the client site is configured, installed, tested and operational. Perform necessary checks, apply monitoring tools and respond to alerts.
  • Identify problems and errors prior to or when they occur and log all such incidents in a timely manner with the required level of detail.
  • Be a part of IT Network projects and operating on infrastructures : leveraging tools and processes to better resolve any IT incidents.
  • Produce breach and other reports to identify failures and short comings.
  • Focus on second line support for low complexity incidents.
  • Proactively offer improvements of operations in order to better meet the SLA standards
  • EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

  • Higher degree in IT or Computer Science.
  • At least 4-5 years’ experience in the field
  • Knowledge or experience of IT Networks and Security :

  • Designing, Installing and Configuring Cisco / Meraki Routing & Switching network infrastructures, traditional topology and Software-Defined solutions (ACI, SDA, SD-WAN)
  • Knowledge in Cisco WLC / Meraki WIFI
  • Knowledge in Cisco ISE is also an asset
  • Knowledge of Cloud solutions (AWS, Azure) and coding (Python, Ansible, NETCONF / YANG ) is also an asset
  • You demonstrate :
  • problem analysis and solution formulation skills.

  • excellent attention to detail.
  • ability to adapt, to change and to think innovatively.
  • good verbal and written communication ability.
  • good planning and time management
  • Languages :
  • English is mandatory.
  • French and German are an asset
  • Any other certifications (CCNA, CCNP or CCIE) are considered an asset
