We are recruiting for the Luxembourg entity of our client, Shurgard, which is the largest developer, owner and operator of self-storage in Europe.
In order to support their activity growth, we are currently looking for an : Experienced Accountant (m / f) Based in Luxembourg Your next challenge : You report to the Accounting Manager and will service Shurgard’s operations business in your market(s) with accounting and other administrative services. You will :
Manage all aspects of accounting and financial reporting of the subsidiaries in your market in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP in order to meet local statutory and group reporting requirements;
Collaborate closely with the Job Cost Accountant in order to manage the capitalisation process and depreciation and amortisation expenses;
Support the execution of mergers, acquisitions and the integration as necessary;
Deliver management reporting, prepare annual (local statutory) accounts and budgets;
Ensure that all tax declarations and tax compliance activities are met in close collaboration with the Tax department, banking and treasury activities as well as payroll accounting of your market and reconciliation;
Implement procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and procedures for all business cycles in accordance with Shurgard’s standards;
Implement the roll out of various control systems in your market(s);
Contribute to European projects : systems, integration of new entities, IFRS migration, maintenance of policies and procedures.
Ensure the application of and compliance with control processes.
Advise team members regarding the handling of non-routine reporting ;
Your profile : If
You have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
You have at least five years of experience in Accounting; a first management experience is a plus;
You have experience in the Services or Retail sector as well as with IFRS and local GAAP;
You have experience in CRM / ERP migration projects (with focus on UAT, acting as key user / trainer).
