Job description

As a Product Owner (PO) within the Tribe, you will :

  • Develop the products / assets vision and define what to do to get there. You define priorities, manage the product backlog and relevant stakeholders’ needs and expectations, and ultimately deliver value for the customer with your Squad;
  • You provide your Squad the What and the Why (the functional perspective) and ensure that improvement and development ideas are aligned with the products / assets vision and how to get there;
  • Ensure the purpose of your Squad is aligned with the Tribe’s and your main stakeholders’ purpose;
  • While covering your role as PO, you are also a Squad Member. With the Customer Journey Experts, you will be in charge to lead the complex projects attributed to the Squad;
  • You are responsible for the whole Team backlog of Run (current activities, incidents, requests, etc.) and Change (projects, innovation, etc);
  • Be accountable to collect the feedback from your stakeholders & have the same role as every Squad member : improve the Squad’s way of working & team performance;
  • In addition, belong to a Chapter based on your job function in which you continually develop your craftsmanship and way of working;
  • Ensure that Business and Tech understand and complement each other’s expertise;
  • Help your Squad to deliver value incrementally and iteratively;
  • You ensure focus on the sprint goals and that Squad members are not distracted by other stakeholders;
  • As a PO you are accountable to get the feedback from your stakeholders regarding the output of your Sprint;
  • Together with the Tribe lead and other POs (Tribe Leadership) you own the delivery of the Tribe's purpose. Jointly you are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the products / assets and services of the Tribe;
  • You deliver input for the new QBR Business cycle (Quarterly Business Review) to the Tribe Lead on status and plans, along with impediments, improvements and dependencies;
  • You update your Tribe and other PO’s on new developments that can have an impact on the portfolio, and discuss progress and impediments.
  • Your profile

    Competencies / Behavior :

  • Have strong leadership skills. The PO is the functional leader of the Squad and is in charge with the Agile Coach and the Chapter Lead to bring the cohesion within the Squad members and develop a high performing Squad;
  • Have strong analytical & judgement skills to recognize key information, identify problem, establish connections and validate before acting;
  • Have deep knowledge of the customer’s business and banking processes and integrate acquired knowledge into performance of tasks;
  • Think in strategic priorities terms - based on professional expertise, be able to develop a long-term vision;
  • Capable of acting as a connector between squads and a very diverse set of stakeholders;
  • Capable of presenting solutions, roadmaps and milestones to higher management with the ability to simplify complexity and improve products, assets and processes;
  • Support the agile organization & perform as a team, trust and encourage each other and give feedback to promote continuous improvement & team development.
  • Experience :

  • Master degree preferably in Economics / Finance;
  • Minimal 5 years of relevant experience (ideally in banking environments) as a Product Owner / Project Manager / Product Manager (planning, milestones, risk, communication);
  • Successful experience in leading and inspiring a team of experts
  • Proven experience in Project Management and in building / executing projects;
  • Good track record in change execution and goals achievement.;
  • A previous experience in an Agile working environment will be considered as a strong plus
  • Languages :

  • Fluency in English and in French (verbal and written).
