Role : Stores Supervisor
Contract : Monday-Friday, 40 Hours a week,6 months contract
Location : Luxembourg
My client who has become one of the leading companies in regard to quality and reliability in the air rescue & air ambulance business is looking for a Stores Supervisor to join them.
If you are open to a new contract and have experience working in bonded stores this could be the role for you.
Responsible to supervise all stores activities
Establish stores employees work schedule making sure that duty times are respected, planned absence is scheduled and unplanned absence is covered
Define with the Maintenance Manager adequate competence of Stores Department employee to fulfil their duties
Select part and service suppliers based on operational needs (cost effectivity or TAT)
Evaluate suppliers based on KPI’s (on time delivery, warranty cases) and / or supplier evaluations
Ordering of parts, tools and services
Organisation of off wing component repairs with approved contractors / Suppliers
Handling of warranty issues and negotiation of warranty claims
Managing the stock of spare parts, consumables and tools
Handling of stock minima’s and inventory control
Prepare and provide spare parts, tools and material to the maintenance department
Inspecting delivered components and goods, in regard to the related documents, packing and condition
Being responsible for all shipments of components (exchange, repair, overhaul, AOG parts support)
Crosscheck of purchase orders versus invoices
updating of Stores Department’s procedures
ensure the functionality and maintain / organize maintenance of the storage devices
Maintain housekeeping procedures within all material storage, shipping & receiving area
Ensuring regular reporting to the Maintenance Manager
Participate in audits (EASA, ISO) and to identify relevant actions to close the findings
Qualifications & Knowledge
Apprenticeship in logistics, storekeeping or equivalent
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the technical environment of the aviation industry
First managerial responsibilities and leadership experience
Good knowledge of logistics & supply chain and procurement
Capacity to understand technical matters
Knowledge of EASA-, dangerous goods- and ITAR regulation
Being computer literate (MS-Office, AeroTrac or other store management IT tools)
Fluent in English (mandatory); Luxemburgish, German and / or French considered as an asset
Professional & Social Skills
Self-motivating and accurate with strong organizational skills and a clear sense of priorities
Flexible and stress resistant, ability to work and interact with various departments and to establish personal contacts
Leads and motivates his assigned personal by example and good communication
Able to work in accordance with procedures & standards specified in a highly regulated environment
Working independently & acting in a responsible manner
Being flexible & open to a versatile work environment
Being able to cope with pressure & respecting deadlines
