About the role :
In this role within the valuation team you will :
provide iptiQ EMEA's liability valuations on different bases (Luxembourg statutory, US GAAP, Solvency II, EVM);
provide actuarial assessments of new product implementation;
assist in the preparation technical notes for new and existing products;
liaise with other iptiQ EMEA functions such as Finance, Products and Risk Management to ensure that iptiQ's valuation and risk management principles are in line with the Group standards;
support the regulatory reporting activities in conjunction with the Finance division and legal functions;
perform experience analysis and prepare the review of key actuarial assumptions to ensure long term profitability of business;
ensure an appropriate control framework is in place that matches with the business requirements;
contribute in the development and maintenance of deep knowledge of insurance practices and market developments within the European Economic Area, in particular Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, France and Ireland.

iptiQ EMEA is part of Swiss Re's Life Capital business unit. It provides innovative Life & Health insurance solutions to customers through Distribution Partners.
iptiQ's Valuation team is a small team which provides the valuation of the insurance liabilities on different bases.
About you :
University degree; mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or related field with proven mathematical skills and analytical ability;
Qualified actuary or nearly qualified;
Work experience of 4+ years in primary L&H insurance and / or consulting environment with actuarial focus;
Excellent understanding of Luxembourg statutory and US GAAP reserving for L&H business;
Good knowledge on Solvency II requirements;
Strong knowledge of the MS Office suite (particularly of MS Excel) or Matlab;
You are organized, a motivated team player and comfortable in a multi-cultural environment;
Strong verbal and written communication : ability to communicate complex issues to others in a clear and concise way.
Your English is excellent; French is a plus.
