We’re looking for people driven by excellence, excited about innovation, and looking to make a difference. If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place!
Your Role
Successful candidates will join a passionate and motivated research group led by Prof. Dr. Gilbert Fridgen. The group consists of doctoral and post-doctoral researchers coming from different disciplines (, policy, business, technology) to pursue leading-edge research and to transfer the results into practice.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to make an important contribution to several exciting research projects.
In particular they will have the opportunity to establish technical first principles of autonomous economic decision making between machines.
They will among other research activities work in the FiReSpARX project, a research project developing a prototypical system for the economic interaction of space robots.
In space, the unexpected can happen frequently, so planning cooperation between these robots in advance is not always possible.
Instead, robots will need to make autonomous economic decisions, following the economic rationale of their owner company.
Next to these activities, successful candidates will carry out research in the context of Prof. Fridgen’s PayPal-FNR PEARL Research Grant in the area of Distributed Ledger Technologies, Digital Identities, and Zero-knowledge Proofs.
Successful candidates will thus have the opportunity to investigate a broad range of research areas and design an individual research portfolio.
As such, successful candidates will be able to align the skills that they learn pursuing a doctorate with their personal goals and interests.
