The Sr Director, HR Business Partner is responsible for managing the strategic and day to day HR activities to support the EMEA and APAC regions reporting directly to the Chief HR Officer and supporting the President of Sales and Operations.
Works in close partnership with assigned leaders and teams to create and personally implement effective solutions that influence and sustain high levels of employee engagement and productivity to meet business goals.
As a trusted advisor, the Sr Director understands the business, is skilled in monitoring the pulse of the organization, and utilizes available systems, human capital analyses, and key measures to deliver a strategy that meets the needs of the business.
The role will base full-time from Luxembourg and will have a small team of direct and indirect reports located in relevant geographies.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Work as an integral part of the HR leadership team by developing effective working relationships, influencing, challenging the management team, and the development and delivery of plans in support of the achievement of the business area and HR strategies.
Advise and deliver on topics to include organization structure, leadership effectiveness, team dynamics, and talent planning.
Partner with the business to develop a resource strategy that defines the needs and competencies needed for talent.
Work with leaders of business functions to understand how organizational changes may impact the organization.
Provide support on the research, design and development of HR initiatives in support of the HR strategy, using knowledge of the client area.
Creates an implementation and communication plan that achieves the agreed deliverables.
Act as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in people management.
Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure that there is a pipeline of talent available to support the strategy for client group.
Partner with Total Rewards to provide input and feedback on compensation and benefits programs that support the business strategy.
Act as a strategic business partner to the business. The position will design, build and execute strategic HR programs that drive exceptional business performance.
Provide strategic direction and input on the overall delivery of services, as well as other HR strategies that impact the business needs.
Serve as a point of contact to effectively link all HRBP initiatives to help create synergy and consistency across the organization.
Partner with internal resources to execute HR initiatives and client-specific programs, as well as lead the efforts to ensure seamless employer / employee communication.
Identify the need for change and be an integral partner to change initiatives within the client group.
Recognize important trends impacting the company, translating that knowledge into actionable approaches / best practices to improve the business.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required and Master’s degree preferred
12+ years of experience as a Human Resources professional with focus on strategic business partnering and demonstrated leadership of other HR team members
5 years of experience managing in a multi-country and multi-site client groups, particularly those with European and Asia Pacific experience
Strong preference for technology industry background
Ability to recommend, develop and execute long and short-term plans and programs
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships at all levels and across a global business
Must be willing to operate out of our Luxembourg office full-time
