Amazon Europe is looking for a customer-focused, highly analytical, experienced Transportation Analyst.
As part of the Network Planning team of Amazon Transportation Services in Europe, you will help to develop a best in class middle mile strategy for line-
haul and sortation, designing and implementing an integrated network that maximizes service value proposition and minimizes costs.
You will be responsible for :
Executing the Operational Planning process
Defining the network configuration of lanes, nodes and timings, working with stakeholders across the Transportation organization
Creating network topologies and capacity plans to meet demand, reduce cost and improve speed
Working closely with colleagues (Operations Research Scientists and Network Planners) to drive analysis, business cases and alignment with business stake-holders
Designing and managing robust cross-functional processes to sync monthly execution to planning
Supporting the development of OR models defining functional specifications and being a primary user of new algorithms / tools
Master of Science in Supply Chain, Transportation, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research or similar fields
5+ years working in a highly complex analytical environment
Advanced Excel knowledge
Experience of using SQL
Fluency in English is required
3+ years of experience in a Supply Chain or Logistics planning role
Experience of Planning Tools and systems (e.g. for network optimization, inventory management etc.)
Scripting languages a plus (e.g. Python, R etc.)
