In this role, the program manager is responsible for ensuring long-term electrical power supply is aligned with Amazon's eMobility plans.

The program manager will ensure costs of electricity are optimized through service applications and interconnection agreements, and total cost of ownership for fleet electrification is improved through the development and administration of contractual mechanisms, projects and metrics.

This role will identify, track and enable beneficial electricity rates, explore and participate in programs with DNOs / Utilities (DSM, DR, EV Infrastructure, Smart Charging, V2X).

The program manager will own internal stakeholder coordination with Amazon's internal partner teams including public policy, fleet, operations, and construction leaders.

This position requires the ability Think Big and Dive Deep, with a mix of leadership, soft skills and technical acumen along with program administration.

This candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders.

In addition, this opportunity requires excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, and the ability to succeed in a fast paced technical environment.

The ability to work independently and deal with an ambiguous environment is a must. Ownership of work is critical to success and candidates should have a proven record of driving projects and initiatives to completion.

The ideal candidate is motivated, innovative, agile, and has exemplary time management and project management skills. A passion for sustainability is required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Bachelor of Science preferred)
  • 5+ years operations, logistics, program and / or project management experience
  • Drive, develop and integrate sustainability strategies for transportation related services
  • Familiar with electric utility trends, concepts, grid related topics
  • Familiar with design and operation of complex operating processes
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply technical concepts and communicate with technical team
  • Ability to create structure in an ambiguous environment
  • Exemplary written and verbal communications skills
  • Program and Project Management acumen
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with extreme discretion
  • Passion for sustainability
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Electrical Engineering Degree with MBA
  • Electric utility background or experience in electric utility field
  • Ability to analyze and review technical content in contracts and agreements
  • Extensive knowledge of e-mobility and transportation electrification
  • Technical skill set in electricity and / or electronics (electrical designs and engineering, control technologies)
  • Knowledge of global transportation and logistics issues around the world
  • Proven ability to thrive in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel
