Your day-to-day responsibilities include
You configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, HA, QoS)
You perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
You monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
You monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity management
You provide Level-2 / 3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
You work within established configuration and change request policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
You select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
You collaborate closely with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Skills we can’t do without
Solid grasp of switching, routing and firewall configuration in both Datacenter and Offices environments (HSRP, IP-SLA, VRFs, etc)
CCNA certification
Experience working with ITIL
Understanding of networking with Windows Server, Linux and VMware platforms
Experience on network management on hybrid environments (cloud and on premise)
Experience in project management following PMI standards
Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analysis tools
Validated hands-on network engineering experience
Skills we’d like
University degree in Computer Science or a related subject
Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions
Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
Ability to build accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization
A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Diligent and flexible when necessary
