The DPE will assist the DPO in all tasks and work closely with all central service and business stakeholders focusing especially on guiding and advising them on data protection legislation matters and compliance in order to ensure that all KPMG initiatives are appropriately conducted.

As a Data Protection Expert, you will :

Provide privacy legal advice and work with the Data Protection Officer to implement privacy policies and processes. This includes :

  • Advising KPMG central service and business stakeholders
  • Providing privacy input on business projects and initiatives
  • Advising on customer, vendor, and employee privacy matters
  • Managing privacy legal compliance efforts, including drafting and revising data transfer agreements, data protection notices, website privacy policies and related procedures, and reviewing Data Protection Authority filings
  • Reviewing the implementation of information security tools in terms of privacy legal compliance
  • Assist in data breach response (including evaluating notification requirements)

    Monitor privacy legal and regulatory developments and keep the firm informed of the relevant changes

    Ensure compliance of KPMG Global projects with European and local data privacy legislation, including providing updates on legal and regulatory developments to KPMG Global

    Provide input on proposed global information security and privacy policies, standards, and other requirements

    The perfect candidate

    Master's degree in Digital Law or equivalent

    Five years of experience in the field of digital law

    Fluency in English, French and / or German are a strong asset

    CIPP / E or other relevant certification preferred

    Knowledge in Data Protection Legislation

    Knowledge in Information Security and Computer Science

    Strong written and oral communications skills

    Strong negotiation and influencing skills

    Demonstrated ability to work independently, but also successfully co-exist within a close-knit team.

    Ability to prioritize and manage workload as well as meet deadlines within a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
