As the Site Lead for SDS (Shipping and Delivery Support) for Europe, you will be responsible for empowering your people to think like owners, and partnering on / or leading local and global initiatives to set new standards in shipping and delivery support.

  • You will have the opportunity to work with business, operations and program teams across Amazon to meet the SDS qualitative and quantitative goals.

    A Day in the Life of a Site Leader involves :

  • Leading and managing 6-9 direct reports and 500+ indirect reports.
  • Responsible for SDS operations for their region and partnering with capacity planning and facilities for growth and seasonal needs
  • Managing workflow, escalations and effectively delegating across your leadership team.
  • Driving quality / process change initiatives and Lean / Kaizen activities, in our fast paced environment.
  • Play a critical role in building management depth by providing guidance and mentorship to all levels of leadership within your organization and serving as a role model for the worldwide SDS network.
  • Being prepared to jump on a call and present to senior leadership globally across organizations at a moment’s notice.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience managing teams of 300+ reports including leadership roles across multiple geographies.
  • 7+ years of people management experience
  • Proven experience in managing across multiple geographies
  • Solid program / project management experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Master’s degree or MBA highly preferred
  • Lean / Six Sigma experience
  • Experience in contact center, retail, or e-commerce operations
