MUFG LM, as at the end of December 2018, manages around USD 22 billion of assets with approx.

140 Alternative Investment and UCITS Funds (EU and non-EU structures), being one of the biggest Alternative Investment Fund Manager ( AIFM ) in Luxembourg.

MUFG LM approach is to provide to third party fund promoter a one stop shop solution in combination with services offered by Mitsubishi UFJ Investor Services & Banking (Luxembourg) S.A.

and other entities within MUFG.

  • MUFG LM now has an opening for a : Central Administration Oversight Officer (M / F) - CDI (Ref. : MUFGLM CAO 07 / 2019) Job description : Your role, which will report directly to the Conducting Officer (Risk Management, Valuation and Central Administration Oversight), will be to : Act as escalation point for Central Administrators (TA, FA, Pricing & Valuation, Investment Compliance);
  • Keep track of and follow-up on incidents linked to Central Administrators; Support the monitoring of investment compliance of the funds under management;
  • Assist in undertaking both initial and ongoing due diligence on Central Administrators and Depositary, including review of documentation received and reporting of findings;
  • Oversee the quality of service received, including without limitation independent checks on the accuracy of NAV calculations and funds’ financial statement review, and ensure that issues are appropriately identified and addressed;
  • Ensuring follow-up on the detected improvement points and proper escalation to the governing bodies if needed; Organization of the various Committees needed within the framework of the Management Company's activity (Central Administration Oversight, Pricing & Valuation) : meetings' requests, preparing agenda and gathering of the supporting documentation, drafting minutes, follow-

  • up on the action points; Assist in preparation of reports to the Board of Directors of the Management Company and Funds’ Board of Directors;
  • Assist in preparation of invoices for services rendered to the funds; Monitor the best market practice and industry / regulatory developments in the area of Central Administrators and Depositaries;
  • Assist in the analysis and implementation of regulatory changes (CSSF Circulars, UCITS, AIFMD, ESMA guidelines); Be involved in various internal projects.

  • Depending on the candidate's profile, you can also : Assist in performing the day-to-day risk monitoring including the calculation of risk based exposures and limits as well as stress testing and back testing (when applicable);
  • Participate in producing regular and ad-hoc risk related reports to regulators, for Senior Management and Board of Directors of the Management Company outlining the current level of various risks incurred by each any actual or foreseeable breach to their limits;
  • Participate in various projects focused on implementing / enhancing risk measurement tools used in Management Company and setting up reports for internal and external usage.

  • Your Profile : Academic degree in finance, economics, mathematics or equivalent; Professional qualifications (CAIA, CFA, FRM) would be considered an advantage;
  • 4 to 8 years of related experience in Luxembourg fund services industry, preferably within Asset Management Company (UCITS V and AIFM);
  • in particular, you have hands-on operational experiences in Central Administration (TA, FA, Pricing & Valuation, Investment Compliance) and Depositary / Custody activities;
  • Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English; Able to write clearly, to define and review procedures and to produce comprehensive reports;
  • Able to work independently and well organised; Hand-on and can-do attitude; Understanding of risks related to financial instruments;
  • Good understanding of financial mathematics, statistics and modelling techniques; Analytical mind and ability to understand technical subjects;
  • Able to read and understand legal documentation; Good communication and interpersonal skills; Excellent level of IT skills : Perfect command of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access);
  • Familiarity with investment compliance software (e.g.

  • Linedata Compliance); Knowledge of SQL and databases structures, Bloomberg and ETL tools would be considered an advantage;
  • Awareness of fund industry related regulation; Familiarity with Loan Origination, Real Estate, Private Equity funds would be considered an advantage.
