Tax Compliance Officer #180195

Your field of responsibility

Join us as a Tax Compliance Officer within the compliance team in Luxembourg, as a specialist and advisor to our business partners on the complex client tax compliance matters.

Your responsibility will be to conduct assessments of client tax risk, perform FATCA and AEI controls, provide guidance on tax matters to the relationship managers in the private banking team.

You will analyze in depth client profiles to assess the client tax risk, ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements as well as with internal Credit Suisse Group policies.

You will also be involved in implementing and updating policies and procedures, provide training to the Relationship Managers, collaborate closely with subject matter experts within the Credit Suisse Group.

The role is based in Luxembourg, but the remit of the role also cover the bank’s branches in France, Portugal, the Netherlands and Ireland.

Your future colleagues

You will join the IWM Compliance team in Luxembourg, in a multinational environment under the supervision of the Head of Financial Crime Compliance.

The team has a strong experience and knowledge of the Bank activity and its clients.

The team closely collaborates, share knowledge and supports each other.

Your skills and experience

To ensure the success of your mission, we are looking for :

  • A degree in Law, Tax or an equivalent further education with a focus on compliance.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a lawyer, tax advisor or Compliance officer, from the financial services industry, with good practical knowledge of European and Luxembourg Client tax regulations and a good understanding of tax matters such as FATCA, AEI, QI, Client Tax Compliance, DAC 6 etc.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and assess potential tax risk and good time management skills and precision in conducting the reviews and controls.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills to document the assessments and to write clear recommendations in a succinct and concise way.
  • Any other languages skills are an asset (French, Portuguese, Dutch, Italian or Russian).
