We are looking for a
Static Calculation Engineer Steel Structures (m / f / d)
You will integrate in our Static Calculation team belonging to the Iron Production Plant & Layout department, based in Luxembourg.
This function will require involvement in most of the industrial projects of our company, interaction with internal project managers and customer as well as sub-contractors for engineering or equipment suppliers.

Your main tasks :
Development and calculation of structural analysis models for steel constructions in an industrial environment.
Sizing of steel constructions considering applicable loads and load cases.
Weight optimization of steel constructions.
Support projects during execution- as well as during sales phase.
Development of alternative designs to fit project requirements and value engineering.
Participate to internal engineering workshops to find appropriate & cost-efficient solutions.
Support internal engineering teams in using appropriate standards and norms.
Consult in design concerns and define design criteria.
Evaluation of feasibility concepts according to technical and economic criteria.
Work in a project related team together with plant engineers and designers from different engineering disciplines.
Meet customers for static calculation oriented meeting.
Supervise, coordinate and control sub-contractors, performing work for the static calculation team.
What do we expect?
Degree in Civil Engineering specialized in structural analysis of steel constructions or in another comparable industrial field and at least 3 years of experience in a similar position, in an industrial or construction environment
Strong knowledge in SCIA Engineer or other comparable structural calculation software
Solid skills in structural sizing and calculation of steel construction acc. to EN 1993 / EC3, as well as in other applicable norms and standards
Knowledge in pressure vessel design and calculation (PED / EN 13445)
Fundamentals in FEM / FEA calculation, preferably with Ansys, basic knowledge in Cesar and / or Rohr 2
Basic knowledge in EN 1090 (fabrication and CE marking)
Fluent in English and good language skills in either French or German.
