Job Purpose The role encompasses the effective implementation of AML / CFT procedures and policies within the context of the Fund Services Department.
Overseeing the AML / CFT responsibilities of the team, identifying and remaining abreast of the Luxembourg legal and regulatory framework relating to AML / CFT and any other applicable laws, circulars and best practice.
Ensuring agreed procedures and practices are accurately carried out documented consistently and accurately to transparently demonstrate satisfaction of compliance rules.
This includes monitoring the compliance and operational control process, all while ensuring that the business activities are performed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and best practices. Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the supervision of the AML Team within the Shareholder Services department;
Lead Investor onboarding and ongoing investor AML / CFT due diligence;
Effective implementation of Transfer Agency AML / CFT procedures and policies;
Ensuring investor KYC files are accurately maintained by the team in conjunction with applicable AML / CFT procedures and policies on an on-going basis;
Together with the Head of Shareholder Services, oversees AML projects;
Ensures KYC documentation submitted is carefully reviewed, appropriate research is conducted by the team during the risk review process and sound analysis is performed;
Contributes toward creating efficient solutions to challenges that impact the overall Shareholder Services Department, while maintaining a focus on team spirit & productivity;
Oversees compliance with internal and external deliverables associated with the accurate recording of investor information, application of relevant AML / CFT rules and the handling of investor and / or client queries;
Provides subject matter guidance to review, come up with recommendations and implement changes to polices, processes, procedures or controls;
Being a liaison for regulators, internal & external auditors for AML / CFT inquiries and audits related to our Fund Services Department.
Proven advanced knowledge and experience in Luxembourg legal and regulatory matters relating to AML / CFT is essential;
A minimum of 4 years’ people leadership experience within fund administration with proven experience in client servicing;
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and attention to detail;
Adequate project management experience;
Experience with client and investor communication and the ability to establish rapport;
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other internal teams (both in Luxembourg and abroad)
