For our HQs in Luxembourg , we are looking for a Category Manager Flexibles or Aluminum for our Packaging Procurement function.
The incombent will be in charge of collaborating in the definition of the strategy and manage budget for relative purchasing Category according to medium and long-term Group strategies.
Manage the procurement activities for the Category of responsibility, collaborating to improve quality level, and to minimize procurement risk (accordingly to methodologies and strategies defined by Risk Management Function).
Collaborate in the innovation development for Category of responsibility and in the capitalization partner / supplier’ know-how.
Main Responsibilities :
Collaborates in the definition of the strategy for the Category of responsibility, in alignment with medium and long-term Group strategies.
Collaborating and responding to the business needs of Supply Chain / Packaging Functions
BUDGET AND MEDIUM-TERM PLAN MANAGEMENT
Elaborates the budget and medium-term plan according to Group and function strategy
Ensures for the Category of responsibility budget and medium-term plan objectives achievement respecting the KPI’s
Performs market analyses with the support of procurement analyst for the Category of responsibility, in order to constantly monitor the market dynamics and provide the management with appropriate feedback’s
Manages procurement activities (i.e. price list, quota allocation, etc.) for the Category of responsibility, ensuring product availability with agreed quality and service levels while optimizing value for Ferrero and applying the internal methodologies, procedures and tools
Performs spend analysis for the Category of responsibility in order to continuously improve the procurement performance
Floating RFI’s & RFQ’s for benchmarking, identifying new suppliers that are potentially suitable to Ferrero Group. Are also in line with the requirements of quality and innovation
Conducts negotiation with suppliers of the Category of responsibility, in alignment with internal procedures and Ferrero Code of Business Conduct
Defines contracts that minimize TCO and meets the OTIF requirements
Verifies compliance of contracts and master agreements (terms, technical features, secrecy conditions, intellectual property, etc.)
Contributes to the risk profile evaluation for the Category of responsibility
Monitors and reduces risk as product availability, prices volatility, through the implementation of specific actions / plans
Minimizes risks linked to mono / few sourcing situations
Maintains, consolidates and improves relationships with existing suppliers, to ensure continuity, manage criticalities and strengthen common objectives
Monitors suppliers performances of the relative Category (through specific KPIs), comparing with external and internal benchmark and using the Local structures support, in order to ensure supply reliability, meet quality, quantity and time objectives, identify possible corrections and involve suppliers in critical situations
Ensures, with supporting Functions and Local structures, the system of knowledge management for the relative Category, formalizing and sharing the specifics experiences as Corporate know-how
Produces periodically market report regarding the relative Category, coherently with the pre-defined framework agreed with the supporting Functions
HUMAN RESOURCES / TEAM MANAGEMENT
Is accountable for managing people assigned, ensuring a management system based on Group values, motivation, competence development and empowerment
Recruits, manages, motivates, coaches and develops own team
Guarantees Human Resources professional development, evaluating people and proposing development initiatives
Who we are looking for :
Bachelor's degree (Packaging Science, Economics or Engineering) or equivalent Global experience in packaging procurement;
8+ years of experience in Packaging Procurement and Expertise in Category Management;
Expertise in driving the categories strategies development and implementation in different trade channels;
Strong knowledge in interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills;
Experience in domestic manufacturing plants;
Ability to work with all levels and functions within the Company, and with external business partners;
Ability to perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the company’s values.
Experience with SAP, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Fluency in English is mandatory;
Any other language skills are considered a plus.
