The Head of Financial Controlling position is responsible for the accounting & finance operations of the Group, a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risks, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles applicable to the entities of the Group.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Management of global controlling function and supervision of global finance operations function. Hiring, performance management, training & development of both teams
  • Development, improvements and implementation of effective and harmonized finance operations / accounting processes Group-
  • wide. Continuous development, improvements, implementation and monitoring of internal controls framework across the Group

  • Overall responsibility for the general ledger of the Group entities. Compliance with statutory / regulatory requirements and applicable accounting standards, across various jurisdictions
  • Supervision and management of Group’s finance and overall responsibility for Group’s intercompany landscape and overall Group’s consolidation;
  • Management of external audit processes and liaising with external auditors to ensure smooth planning, process and completion of the stand-
  • alone audits and Group’s consolidated audits

  • Business owner of the Group’s financial software D365 for general ledger and Sigma for consolidation
  • Close cooperation with tax, legal teams, and especially with financial planning and forecasting team for regular reporting inputs
  • Cross-departmental collaboration with stakeholders of the finance processes, raising awareness and visibility of the finance department throughout the Group
  • Ad hoc projects and management requests
  • Any other tasks assigned by Group’s CFO
  • Requirements and Key qualifications

  • Publicly traded company and / or previous IPO experience a must have
  • Chartered accounting qualification with significant post-qualification experience :
  • IFRS experience and / or US GAAP experience, Lux GAAP useful but not a must
  • Experience with transfer pricing mechanisms and processes a great plus
  • Unquestionable integrity
  • Flexible and open-minded
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience and ability to see and understand the big picture’
  • 15+ years finance management roles in multinational companies or in high growth sectors; previous team management experience is a must
  • Excellent time management and project management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities under pressure
  • Strong, influential and yet respectful style of management
  • Ability to establish effective cross-departmental relationships
  • Effective and easy communication style, able to relate to a wide range of people
  • Able to interpret and clearly explain complex financial and accounting data to non-finance staff
  • Fluency in English language, other European languages a plus
  • Reports directly to Group’s CFO, Responsibility for 40+ people globally, supervision and guidance of finance staff including accounting and controlling, consolidation, finance operations and business information.
