We are looking for a talented Program Manager, who could by training also be a Paralegal, to join our European Privacy team as part of Amazon's Legal Department.
You will be part of a broader team that handles privacy matters across Europe and globally.
This role provides the unique opportunity to support Amazon in the still evolving and complex world of data protection compliance.
You will work closely with team members and cross-functional partners to manage complex and strategic projects.
Responsibilities include :
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to continuously develop and improve company-wide processes, tools, guidance and trainings
Coordinating concerted responses to regulatory audits and investigations
Managing internal customer and stakeholder relationships to set expectations and agree on clear goals, objectives, and timelines
Facilitate requirements gathering and drive creation of integrated project plans and timelines
This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, great attention to detail, and effective organization skills to manage multiple, competing priorities.
We are looking for candidates who are innovative, extremely hands-on, and customer-obsessed professionals. In addition, they must be proactive and fast-moving when necessary to complete projects in a timely fashion.
The position can be located in one of our European corporate offices in Luxembourg, London, or Munich.
Bachelor's Degree or comparable qualification;
Minimum 3 years industry experience that includes working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams and managing project playbooks;
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time, working independently and often in ambiguous environments;
Excellent English language skills that include the ability to draft written communication to internal and external stakeholders, and provide training to larger teams; and
Proven ability to effectively communicate with technical teams and senior leadership.
Technology affinity with a natural interest in internet services and applications and enthusiasm for technical innovation;
Experience implementing privacy and data management compliance programs;
A team player and consensus builder with great people skills and a good sense of humor who can effectively and efficiently collaborate and build relationships with engineers, lawyers and business clients at all levels throughout the organization; and
Highest standards of ethics and professional integrity.
