Our focus is on ensuring we build a strategy for the hydrogen economy, deliver pilots and provide technology for the various verticals in Amazon to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen and fuel cells.

This position impacts a global set of stakeholders, so ability to consider a diverse set of viewpoints is critical to ensuring that pilot, training, adoption and engagement is appropriate to the locale.

You will be managing multiple programs that accelerate the adoption of hydrogen as a zero carbon fuel to power Amazon operations.

This includes the development of hydrogen infrastructure and piloting fuel cells in different stationary and mobility applications in collaboration Amazon verticals in Europe.

You will partner with various stakeholders like engineering, safety, operations, construction, and maintenance to implement solutions, all the while generating excitement for the customer experience.

You will also be part of the team who works with vendors on improving their technology based on customer feedback from associates through directors.

This role is critical in ensuring that the right technology and technology partners are identified, vocalized, and defended for transition to deployment.

Key job responsibilities

In collaboration with different Amazon businesses, the Sr. TPM - EU Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Programs will be responsible for :

i) Defining, prioritizing, and planning hydrogen and fuel cell pilot projects in EU

ii) Developing hydrogen fuel supply and fueling infrastructure to support pilots and scale up

iii) Managing program and project execution and ensuring that the project delivery is to the appropriate levels of quality and in line with its target date

iii) Develop the strategy and plan for large scale deployment of the hydrogen powered solutions

iv) Comfortable with influencing internally as well as externally, and building partnerships across a wide range of third party partners, including legacy OEMs and startups

v) Create the vision and product roadmap to integrate new technologies into existing platform

vi) Lead white paper and cross functional reviews to gain consensus and leadership buy-in on plan, funding and program status

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred), or related field
  • Experience in project or program management
  • Experience working with vendors
  • Experience creating visualizations using data, writing and presenting documents to senior leaders
  • Experience of battery electric and / or fuel cell electric vehicle development / testing
  • Experience dealing and negotiating with suppliers at all levels
  • Experienced in evaluating technology for scalability and for implementation
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience collaborating with external stakeholders to provide end to end oversight and drive projects
  • MBA or Master Degree in a related field
  • Experience leading new or start-up related projects where processes will need to be defined, implemented and iterated
  • Knowledge of hydrogen infrastructure and / or hydrogen fuel cells is preferred
  • Prior hands-on experience with hydrogen fuel, electrolyzers and / or fuel cells is desired
  • Knowledge of hydrogen safety is preferred
  • Ability to create structure in an ambiguous environment
  • Strong Bias for Action with an ability to look around corners and deliver results for the business
  • Experience interacting with and influencing executives
  • Knowledge of alternative fuels and transportation electrification
  • Ability to think big and dive deep, and embody a unique mix of leadership and technical acumen
  • Ability to present in front of large groups of stakeholders, with confidence and clarity
  • Motivated, agile, with strong time management and project management skills, and is technical and analytical
