Your field of responsibility

As Head of Risk Management and Conducting Officer for Risk Management and Valuation you will be leading a team of 3-5 people and be responsible for the Oversight of the Company’s Risk Management function and take an active role in various investment committees.

You will ensure that the Risk Management Policy, Risk Management Procedure, and Risk Framework are designed, implemented, and assessed effectively in order to identify, investigate, measure, manage, monitor, and report on all risks relevant to the managed AIFs and UCITS on an ongoing basis.

You will work closely with the Valuation Committee to establish and monitor pricing policies and procedures and pricing decisions.

You will be part of the Senior Management team and report directly to the CEO and the BoD of the Management Company as well as to the CRO Group Function.

You will liaise with the regulators and senior stakeholders and work on different projects and business initiatives. As Conducting Officer you will carry out your role in compliance with the regulatory framework applicable to the Company, the instructions of the Board of the Company and in accordance with the strategic goals and risk appetite of the group.

Your skills and experience

  • 7+ years experience in risk management within an AIFM or Management Company in Luxembourg managing liquid and illiquid (Private Equity, Private Debt, Insurance Linked Strategies, Real Estate) asset strategies as well as Discretionary Portfolio Management;
  • Excellent knowledge of the Luxembourg UCITS and AIFM legal & regulatory framework, in particular with regard to risk management requirements, strong technical background in risk management and an understanding of investment risk metrics as defined by AIFMD and UCITS
  • Experience as a Conducting Officer of an AIFM / ManCo would be beneficial
  • Outstanding analytical, comprehension & problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interact clearly, constructively and efficiently with senior individuals and external service providers
  • Solution oriented, highly proactive and able to prioritize effectively
  • Flexibility, dedication and a strong sense of ownership describe your work ethics
  • Result oriented with ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken) any other European language will be an advantage
  • Experienced in managing a team
