Clearstream Default Management is part of the Risk Management function and is an elementary component of the management and control of Clearstream as part of Deutsche Börse Group.
The Clearstream Default Management team is responsible for handling the default of a customer. As Default Manager / Trader within CRO Clearstream you will be responsible for supporting the default management activities of Clearstream during a customer default as well as buy in activities during business as usual.
This includes analysing positions, elaborating a liquidation strategy and executing trading activities as necessary.
In addition, this function is to ensure the safety of Clearstream in its role as CSD / ICSD by supporting and developing default management framework for Clearstream’s products and services.
You will be actively taking part in our processes, while we are offering you diverse, interesting and above all challenging tasks.
Tasks / responsibilities
Support Clearstream trading activities during a liquidation and / or buy in, in several asset classes and diversified markets.
Develop network of trading counterparties, in line with the collateral eligibility criteria of Clearstream.
Take responsibility for liquidation of assets during a crisis situation caused by a customer default. Analyse and develop liquidation proposal upon Executive Board approval.
Develop / enhance tools to allow the execution of the default management process.
Support the implementation of various enhancements and initiatives within the company.
Verification, maintenance and development of processes required for default management, in line with the regulatory framework.
Actively participate in various default management simulations / tests.
Represent Clearstream Default Management towards trading counterparties, customers and regulators.
Qualifications / required skills
University degree in finance or similar.
Minimum of two years of front office trading experience in either sovereign or corporate bond products with either a bank or market maker in a proprietary trading or treasury role.
Cross asset class experience would be a plus.
Knowledge of front office systems including Bloomberg.
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Highly motivated and open minded team player with a willingness to perform in a critical situation.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Candidates will have to develop and present concepts, aligned with internal and external stakeholders.
High commitment, motivation, creativity and ability to work both independently and flexibly in a team.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Good command of MS Office, experience in databases and programming languages would be an advantage.
Dedication, team and communication skills, flexibility as well as competent handling of MS Office applications round out your profile.
