Greenfield is pleased to be working with a publicly listed (LON) web services and domain management operator experiencing substantial growth in its Global footprint and the corresponding development of its Luxembourg corporate headquarters.

A new compliance role has been created that will report to the Group Compliance Officer and will have a pan-European focus.

The role will concentrate on the adoption and controls of best practice in corporate compliance, particularly in the fields of data protection and GDPR.

This will be a technical role and one in which the incumbent will be able to attain high visibility within the group context.

The mandate will be fulfilled by an ambitious and competent character with a strong eye for details and a focused and studious approach to European wide regulatory matters.

You will have at least a first experience either an inhouse or consultancy role in a data protection or GDPR related area and will be competent in German to a competent level. The Role :

Review, development and implement all areas of the compliance framework using Group policies with local adaptations when required

Ensure all staff are provided with suitable compliance training and support a strong compliance culture across the business

Create internal controls to ensure compliance with group policies and monitor adherence to them

Proactively auditing processes, practices and documents for each department

Keep up to date with applicable legal and regulatory compliance requirements locally

Collaborating with local counterparts about updated rules within the countries we are based on as well as European changes on data protection legislation (GDPR)

Coordinate with different department managers to review all departmental compliance policies

Coordinate and support local teams on business continuity and disaster recovery planning

Your Profile :

Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience

Advanced German and English language skills both written and oral

An understanding of compliance regulations in Germany and any other European jurisdictions

A first experience in compliance / GDPR matters

Ability to work in a self-directed and remote environment

Effective stakeholder management skills and ability to learn new systems and processes

Ability to work under pressure and deliver tasks on time to tight deadlines

Excellent collaboration skills and be comfortable working cross functionally
