The Fund Services European Regulatory and Accounting Policy Strategist will leverage their expertise and network to bring technical regulatory and accounting market intelligence to BBH’s Fund Services business and clients.

Working with the Fund Services Regulatory and Accounting Policy Strategist, this individual will identify jurisdictional reporting requirements and accounting changes, assess requirements and strategize with product groups to determine viability and ROI of offerings.

Responsibilities : Technical


  • Serve as the subject matter expert for fund regulatory reporting requirements specifically in Luxembourg, Ireland, Belgium and the UK, with an eye on other European requirements as deemed necessary.
  • Provide technical interpretations of accounting changes and regulatory requirements to assist in the development of reporting solutions and communications to clients and internal groups.
  • Leverage professional network to represent BBH at industry technical committees and working groups.
  • Maintain communication with regulatory bodies in order to make technical interpretations and procure market intel.
  • Be a thought leader to internal products, working groups and technical committees specific to the regulatory reporting and accounting requirements impacting the fund environment.
  • Enhance our client service by demonstrating we are a thought leader and can provide solutions / guidance proactively.

  • Build and maintain strong external and internal relationships and form strategic partnerships by providing expertise to maximize business success with a focus on a collaborative approach to other disciplines to ensure seamless communication and execution of market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with marketing and other SMEs to enrich other thought leadership pieces related to BBH’s expertise and product areas with regulatory and market perspective.
  • Act as a leader responsible for bringing market intelligence internally to BBH to deepen relationships with clients through our Insight Led Client Service model as well as to support the sales cycle for prospects.
  • Client Engagement

  • Respond to RFI / RFP requests on BBH’s present day regulatory offering and strategic vision in the support of the funds space.
  • Represent BBH at senior client and prospective client meetings and presentations as an industry expert.
  • Educate clients on new and changing accounting policies and regulations, the impact to them and how BBH can assist them.

  • Offer insights and solutions to create commercial opportunities for BBH from accounting and regulatory impacts.
  • Provide input and direction in the creation of Business Requirement Documents for strategic initiatives to ensure a streamlined handoff to production teams for delivery execution.
  • Identify the trending of client and operational issues correlating to challenges faced within the industry and how that aligns with our future state offering.
  • Drive and influence Fund Services’ long-term strategic vision as it relates to changes in the regulatory environment.
