DESCRIPTION

This role is focused on enabling a global workforce at Amazon by removing barriers related to cross-border talent movement for Amazon.

This role operates within the Global Relocation Services team who serves as an owner of working collaboratively with a variety of cross-

functional experts across the organization such as tax, payroll, legal, immigration, relocation, and benefits.

We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead the oversight and continued iteration of this initiative. The role will be located in our Seattle office and will drive this highly collaborative and cross-functional effort.

A successful candidate will demonstrate the following abilities :

  • Dive deep in understanding our business, HR products and services, and Amazon’s HR landscape
  • Think strategically and analytically about large, complex projects, execute methodically, and drive continuous innovation
  • Break initiatives down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, form cross-functional and cross-geography project teams
  • Ownership and drive willingness to roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities

    In this role, you will :

  • Project Management Develop and maintain project plans, identify resource needs, and manage project schedule; collaborate effectively across teams to define strategy, goals and commitment to timelines and deliverables
  • Measurement - Develop measures to define progress and ultimate success; establish ongoing reporting requirements and key performance indicators for planning and ultimately realizing intended ROIs
  • Business Requirements - Facilitate the collection and quality of regional business requirements including process deviations
  • Communication - Own communications to project members and stakeholders on progress, issues, and risks including regular status updates and various white paper analysis
  • Implementation - Coordinate the rollout of new programs including delivery of standard operating procedures, workflow diagrams, training materials and post-

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years relevant program and project management experience
  • BA / BS degree in related field or equivalent work experience Bachelor's degree in business, HR or related field
  • Former experience in Mobility or Relocation
  • Expert PC skills (Windows, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience developing, improving and implementing processes and providing support for core HR solutions in large-scale, complex environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills - ability to interface with all levels of the organization, specific strength in influencing decision makers and managing expectations
  • Ability to travel
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successful record of building, improving and running operational business processes globally, ability to drive program effectiveness and high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Former experience in Mobility or Relocation
  • Demonstrated program ownership and consistent delivery on commitments - great organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail
  • Experience identifying and resolving complex issues, assumes leadership roles in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances -
