An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join the Finance team in our Luxembourg office on a 12-mont h contract basis.

Summary of the position

The Financial Accountant will work as key part of the Controller’s team in Luxembourg to prepare financial records and create financial reports and analysis for the staff and management in Luxembourg and the group.

  • Responsibilities;
  • The Financial Accountant will primarily be responsible for day to day accounting and reporting activities, including :

  • General accounting of the internal companies of the Group
  • Reconciliation of ledger accounts and intercompany balances
  • Cash receipts and general back office activities
  • Budget preparation
  • Analysis of deviations in relation to budget and forecast
  • Various financial reporting and periodic statutory reporting
  • Support preparation of income tax returns, VAT returns, and accounts for audit
  • Assist to develop improvement to processes
  • Build relationships with internal customers and external service providers.
  • Requirements ;
  • 2 to 3 years of experience of relevant accounting experience.
  • An excellent academic record with a degree in accounting
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and the Luxembourg financial and regulatory environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work on a broad range of accounting duties.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written. A working knowledge of French or other European language would be an advantage.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Be computer literate with an advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • The ability to prioritise and plan a challenging workload, with systematic working style and high attention to detail.

  • You will receive training on a day to day basis by coaching and mentoring
  • Personal development plan will be agreed on an annual basis

  • Attendance to internal training including webinars, workshops and workgroups as may be required

  • Reporting structure

    The individual will report to the Senior Financial Controller and will work closely with the Finance team in Luxembourg.

    The individual will also work with staff and management of other divisions within the Luxembourg office
