BI Analyst With over 1,700 people, KPMG Luxembourg is a leading provider of professional services including audit, tax and advisory services to major national and international clients active in the financial, commercial and industrial sectors.

Our Data Team is now looking for a forward-thinking and smart individual to the continuous improvement and deployment of the Data & Analytics capabilities within the company.

He / She will be responsible for helping businesses leverage data and identify opportunities for improvement, spot trends, as well as recognize potential issues and offer data visualization solutions (reports / dashboards).

He / She works bridging business with BI Engineers / Developers aiming to improve efficiency, increase productivity, and drive profits for the business.

We are seeking for outstanding individuals that love data, are self-starters, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail) and that enjoy working in a fast-paced team that continuously learns and evolves on a day to day basis.

As a BI Analyst, your main missions will be to :

  • Develop and manage BI solutions, being its product owner.
  • Work with BI solutions and SQL to produce reports which enable stakeholders to track their progress in real-time & improve their operations.
  • Analyze business requirements and processes for metrics’ implementation.
  • Collaborate with team members for the purpose of collecting data and developing metrics to assess performance and drive improvement.
  • Create and maintain documentation that includes reporting’s design, requirements and user guides.
  • Identifying the development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the operations of the organization for efficiency and profitability.
  • Support end-users with ad hoc analysis
  • The perfect candidate :

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Engineering, Business, or other relevant fields.
  • 3 years minimum, 5+ years preferred as BI Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong experience with BI tools ( PowerBI, Tableu).
  • Strong experience of working with stakeholders and other developers within a BI reporting environment to understand and define user requirements for reporting and visualizations
  • Strong experience in BI environments including modern database design and principals with advanced understanding and practical experience of SQL.
  • Ability to perform ETL with different data sources and work DW processes (large datasets)
  • Advanced SQL skills with broad experience and understanding of data warehouse models and principles.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL server fundamentals (core database concepts, data manipulation and storage, database administration)
  • Any relevant certification is a plus : Business Analyst (IREB, IQBBA, IIBA), Process Modelling (BPMN), testing (ISTQB)
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative analyses in a clear, precise and actionable manner.
  • Sharp analytical abilities, proven design skills, excellent communication skills.
  • Growth mindset : you don’t see problems; you see opportunities and are energized by coming up with multiple solutions to solve challenges.
  • Team-player : understand how to navigate complex business and understand the importance of cross-functional collaboration
  • Agile : you are pro-active, flexible and able to adapt quickly
  • Fluent in English - French or German would be an asset
