What is the opportunity?
This is great opportunity to join an international compliance team in a dedicated regulatory advisory role in a dynamic credit institution and asset servicer.
Reporting to the Director, Head of Compliance Advisory in Luxembourg, you will be a key stakeholder in RBC I&TS’s regulatory compliance framework.
Through diagnostics, gap analyses and impact assessments, you will support the implementation of new EU, international and local regulatory initiatives throughout the Bank.
You will also represent RBC I&TS in industry working groups addressing regulatory policy developments. With your expertise, you will be a trusted advisor to the business and senior management.

What will you do?
Regulatory watch : identify and assess forthcoming regulatory developments and related regulatory and compliance risk impacting business units in conjunction with key Business and Functional stakeholders.
Collaborate and contribute to RBC I&TS’ regulatory projects, initiatives and endeavors while providing tailored and practical compliance advice / Continuously provide compliance advice supporting the firm in achieving its goals and accomplishment of its strategy.
Participate and contribute to industry working groups, advocating RBC I&TS’ interests and circling back market intelligence / Provide compliance assessment of new businesses, projects and initiatives.
Contribute to the maintenance of the integrated, risk based compliance framework in accordance with applicable laws / regulations and RBC Enterprise compliance standards.
Ensure escalation of significant regulatory and compliance risk issues and deficiencies to relevant business supervisors, operating committees, boards of directors and compliance senior management and to this effect develop appropriate management information for quarterly Boards, Committees and Working Groups.
In conjunction with the relevant businesses including Steering Committees and Working Groups, develop / participate to an appropriate and effective response to and resolution of compliance issues or deficiencies identified.
Contribute to the development of the compliance training schedule for RBC I&TS’ business units. Ensure training content is aligned to current regulatory requirements and business activities of these business units.
Identify training needs following regulatory developments and create such trainings.
Provide independent oversight of regulatory watch process of subsidiaries and branches and provide support for inquiries raised by local compliance officers.
What do you need to succeed?
University degree in the area of Finance, Law, Business Administration or similar
Solid knowledge of the regulatory environment gained in a bank, asset manager, consulting or lawfirm
Capability to engage with different stakeholders and partners
Very strong oral and written communication skills including an capacity to translate and simplify complex requirements into simple language (and build professional presentations)
Proficient working level of English
Experience with project management of large regulatory projects
Proficient Excel skills
