Development Team Leader (m / f)

We are looking for a Development Team Leader to join KPMG Technology Platform's PSF team which develops tailor-made solutions in a dedicated secure environment.

About the team and responsibilities

We at KPMG Luxembourg see Governance and Regulatory Compliance not only as a burden to the business but rather as a complex challenge that needs transformation and digital innovation.

With our multidisciplinary team of 40 people we advise clients in the Financial Sector (Banking, Asset Management, and Insurance) on all aspects of Governance and Regulatory Compliance.

We assist our clients in better understanding of the regulatory environment and identify laws and regulations that have impact on their activities.

We add value by providing solutions which include innovation and efficiency.

Job purpose

The Development Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the team is consistently delivering working software platform to the expectations, within an iteration or through a continuous flow model so that value is consistently delivered to the company.

Major duties and responsibilities

  • Collaborates and shares knowledge and expertise with Software Engineering team members, Project Management team members and all project stakeholders such as Risk and Architecture;
  • Presents and implements ideas for new solutions improvements, participating in estimation process;
  • Coordinates work with software engineers and data analysts from other teams to define product requirements;
  • Reviews and validates software specifications and estimates;
  • Oversees and manages the coding, testing and debugging of applications and ensuring the agreed Software Development Lifecycle is respected throughout development;
  • Plans, coordinates and monitors the progress of development projects to ensure their ongoing alignment with business goals;
  • Assumes overall management responsibility for all aspects of the software development team such as hiring, training and performance evaluation of team members.
  • Requirements to access to this function

  • Education requirements : Bachelor or Master degree in Information Technology
  • Work experience requirements : minimum 5 years of experience in Software Engineering
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge / Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of C#, Typescript, ASP.Net WebAPI, SPA, Angular 7+, .Net Core 2+, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, Continuous Integration tools
  • Knowledge of performance and security aspects in development
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of testing theory, methodologies and techniques
  • Understanding of End-to-End Lifecycle Process and Tool Set
  • Project management skills
