Test Automation Officer (M / F)

ABOUT THE JOB l What will you do?

The Test Automation Officer is part of the Test Management team within the Digital Transformation & Platform Development department and plays a key role in the value delivery process of the bank, covering the definition of test strategies, test design, as well as test execution, with a major focus on automation.

The Test Automation Officer will be responsible for the following activities :

  • Design, develop, plan and implement test strategies covering various applications (frontend / backend) and workflows
  • Design and execute automated (functional and non-functional) tests and automated end-to-end flows to ensure specific quality levels according to the business requirements
  • Create and maintain automated scripts by use of the latest scripting techniques, and maintain the repository of automated regression tests
  • Define and design the test automation infrastructure and architecture in alignment with internal IT teams
  • Support the definition of test automation concepts for complex implementation and migration projects
  • Act as member of the test automation community, contribute to the test automation governance and drive all test automation activities
  • Align test automation activities with the Test Management, but also Application Development team members
  • Participate in POCs and prototype initiatives
  • Document test automation activities and report all identified quality issues and defects
  • Support the Head of Test Management with general improvements of the QA / Test Procedure
  • Closely collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers and other department members
  • ABOUT YOU l What’s your background?

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Informatics, or equivalent significant professional work experience
  • Practical experience in structured programming (e.g. Python, JavaScript, SQL)
  • Solid experience in the usage of test management and automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Robot framework, Azure DevOps, Postman, Jenkins, Selenium, Appium)
  • Expertise in the area of test automation for APIs / web services, web and mobile applications
  • Previous experience or practical knowledge about performance / volume testing (e.g. tools like Gatling, Neoload and JMeter)
  • Experience in integration testing of system components, as well as system integration testing is a plus

  • Ability to quickly gain an understanding of complex applications / workflows and to transfer abstract knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the capacity to work in a very structured way
  • Team player, able to work independently as well as in collaboration with other colleagues
  • Open-minded approach with a desire to learn and progress in a fast-moving international working environment
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; any additional European languages are advantageous
  • Knowledge about banking / payment platforms and core banking systems is a plus
