We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Academy team.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and running our Academy program with the end goal of incorporating AWS Academy curricula into programs at universities and technical colleges in Europe.
You will have excellent communication skills and proven program management or business development experience in the IT and / or Academic sectors.
To be successful in this position, you must be highly motivated, creative and a self-starter who is able to think big, execute flawlessly and stay focused on the details.
Implement, monitor and manage successful program roll out in conjunction with regional and local teams
Advocating value of careers in AWS and AWS certifications
Increasing awareness / adoption of AWS Academy by academic institutions
Relationship management with numerous internal and external entities to ensure AWS Academy long term adoption and growth
Ensuring Academy courses are delivered in line with program guidelines and maintaining high quality execution in all levels and areas of program
Reviewing Academy feedback and following up on items that need additional action
Identifying instructors and students to profile for Academy marketing purposes
Identifying and building relationships with Student Placement organizations at educational institutions and their employer pipeline
Identifying and developing opportunities for ongoing program growth and development, including identifying internal and external demand for cloud computing employment
5+ years relevant work experience in the Information Technology
5+ years relevant work experience in Academic sectors
5+ years of sales and / or business development experience
Experience effectively working with a variety of organizations, management levels, cultures, and personalities
Experience working with cross-functional teams and virtual teams
Understanding of cloud computing
Experience with creating c-level strategic business plans
Experience presenting to senior level stakeholders
Ability to travel up to 40% of travel required
Proficient in English
Knowledge and / or hands-on experience with a Learning Management System (LMS)
Capability to logically plan and set priorities, identify and resolve problems to produce measurable results
Recent experience in a fast-paced, multinational technology company
A high-level technical background
Understanding of the academic environment, including funding models, program development frameworks and government approved training packages
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Comfortable working in a start up environment
AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification
AWS Solutions Architect Associate Certification
Fluent in Spanish, French or German
