You will lead the pricing team, through harmonized pricing processes and implement the pricing strategy and drive improvement in profitability.
This role requires a thought leader who has demonstrated the ability to effectively interact and influence peers and the next level up in organizations, including VP / GM level, with a proven track record of managing a high performing team.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDEDResponsibility for the execution of the pricing strategy for the business product line level, customer level, surgical analysis for GM% improvement.
Collaborates with Product and Industry Management to ensure appropriate price strategies are developed.
Accountability for the management of the day to day pricing requirements of the commercial team, as well as any analysis and reporting required.
Assists the organization in accelerating growth market expansion.
Effectively manages and influences relationships with functional leadership and other process owners to ensure support and alignment.
Leads the development and planning of the business pricing approach, Organizationelling, and communication(s).
Leads the development, adjustment of pricing tools and tools functionalities (Quotation tools in SAP, Quotation functionalities in CRM, )
Lead the pricing team on implementing the pricing strategy.
Evaluates the effectiveness of value delivery from the pricing strategy and tactical execution.
Understands, harmonises and leads pricing practices to ensure price for value and gross margin expansion.
reviews product prices, approves price deviations, discontinues unprofitable products and implements price-increase and price-hold strategies.
Responsible for variance analysis within individual products or product families. Directs change and improvement through the accounting, manufacturing and sales organisations.
Recruitment and management responsibility of new hires into the pricing team.
Develop, coach and advise direct reports as required to increase capability.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORPreferably University Degree (Bachelor) in Economics / Marketing or related discipline.
Good high school results will also be considered.
5 years’ experience in a Pricing and / or Product Management environment.
Good knowledge of pricing strategy and value argumentation.
Sound understanding of Pricing and Price Organizationel capability.
Aptitude for problem solving with the ability to draw clear conclusions and recommendations from multiple data sources and trends.
Advanced technical Excel and Office skills
Good communication skills with the ability to work across teams.
