Procurement Operations and Sourcing Manager (Level 6)
Amazon is seeking a Procurement and Sourcing Manager to be a key contributor to the future procurement roadmap and long-term vision of ITS (IT Services) organization team.
This position exemplifies customer obsession, ownership and frugality; qualities needed to ensure the ITS operation spend is managed effectively, without compromising the quality of the service provided to our customers, or the capability of the procurement operation.
As an ITS Procurement Manager, you own the region’s (EMEA) procurement operation responsibilities for hardware, software and potentially other commodities ahead.
This effort includes sourcing, forecasting, purchase order creation, order management and monitoring. You will also lead supplier management KPIs and metrics reporting and will develop business relationship with regional / country stakeholders.
You will generate sourcing opportunities with new local vendors and VARs (value added re-sellers) to support Amazon’s continuous demand and growth.
You will align with the procurement regional leadership to drive efficiencies and improvements projects in the region. Your main customers will be the IT Support offices.
The regional procurement Manager will provide thought leadership and will lead long-term scalable solutions across the Hardware and technology supply chain.
This leader will drive hardware acquisition strategies for improved financial and streamlined hardware delivery while successfully deliver end-to-end supply chain projects.
This role requires a seasoned communicator, that has the ability to communicate expectations and requirements equally well with external and internal leadership teams, and the capacity to write well-reason and data-driven proposals.
Focus on the accurate, expedited execution of procurement processes, necessary to supply goods and services to keep the ITS operations going
Engage with procurement processes, and develop systems to use those in a more efficiently and effectively way
Onboard new vendors and negotiate strategically to bring new IT business opportunities
Support HW sourcing and spend optimization for EMEA Operations
Support and enable the delivery of company-wide initiatives to improve the ordering process.
Use data to identify and resolve issues through and anecdotal input from stakeholders.
Support regional VAR vendor management in EMEA
Communicate (written and oral) with executive audiences to provide procurement program updates
Drive ITS Procurement initiatives and continuous improvement efforts using your project management skills and knowledge
Identify and rapidly implement solutions to issues affecting our customers or the procurement process
Negotiate local / regional IT contracts and support TSI cost out efforts
Develop deep knowledge of the ITS inventory items and align with other regions to drive best practices
Develop relationship across the regions and network
Support the TSI operations and vendor management teams
Support in regional launches and change projects
Deep dive and investigate complex procurement problems and work through solutions
Create reports to analyze and report complex data sets to drive optimal procurement decisions
7+ years of experience procurement, sourcing or vendor management
Fluent in English
Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, IT, or related field
Experience in Oracle, Coupa or other financial management software
Advanced analytical skills
Previous sourcing projects and strategies experience
Proven experience in Project Management and Process Improvement
