Research, development and technical assistance in the field of construction market to improve the technical and economic performance of ArcelorMittal long products and to enhance the contribution of those products to the EBITDA of ArcelorMittal.
Responsibilities : Management of R&D projects in the field of construction, linked to development of new products / solutions and new tools / applications for long products, modelling and analysis, enhancing product properties, standardization and patents.
Responsibilities include developing, conducting, and evaluating new approaches to meet project objectives faster and more efficiently.
Advanced knowledge of structural fire engineering and related standards with practical experience in design and modeling of structures is essential.
Understanding of fire behaviour and definition of fire load for safety of design is a must. Practical use of Safir software is essential, use of FDS is advantage.
Good knowledge in programming is desired. Additional knowledge in geotechnics is an advantage.
Activities : You will work in close collaboration with the plants and commercial departments on research projects and technical assistance dealing with long products.
Typical duties cover participation to design, including modelling and analysis, and engineering of steel product solutions, research project management, build prototypes, products, and systems for testing, identify and keep abreast of novel technical concepts and markets (BIM), assist in publication of papers and applications for patents.
