Job purpose :
To support our growth, our Business Transformation Team is looking for a Data Quality Engineer .
Being a member of our Business Transformation Team, you bring your experience and open mindset to you support business teams to facilitate the implementation of quality controls on their data.
You will be part of the Data Engineering team overseeing a range of data-related functions to ensure data quality through data management and the development of data quality framework.
You will work closely with various departments (IT and business functions) to identify business rules, reviewing data models and integrations to enhance the company’s analytics capabilities.

The role and responsibilities : You will closely collaborate with various stakeholders to :
Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders
Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards and adoptions requirements across the organization ( Data Owners and Data Custodians)
Support in the identification, logging and investigation of data quality issues raised and assist in the remediation actions or work arounds to resolve them
Support in the impact analysis of data modifications, updates and breaches
Establish standard operating procedures for data quality and stewardship
Ensuring clear accountability for proper stewardship of consumer information throughout the data lifecycle
Develop a complete inventory of data clean up reports and define the cadence for producing them and addressing uncovered issues
Perform data warehouse, dimensional data mart and enterprise report validation and verification
Work closely with software engineering and other required IT team to assure proper data deployment, data migration and data quality
Collaborate with business and technical teams to develop and communicate data quality results reports
Communicate within the Data Governance team about improvements, impediments and progress
Ability to create system and data quality documentation, standards and procedures ( data and business rules catalogue)
Define and operationalize processes to continuously monitor and quality check data completeness and accuracy
Accountable for the active management of data quality program activities; which includes evaluating large datasets for quality and accuracy;
proactively identifying, addressing and resolving reconcilable discrepancies through daily data analysis
The perfect candidate :
BA / BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or significant relevant work experience
Has from 3 to 7 years of primary experience in defining, documenting and implementing Data Quality frameworks, best practices & procedures in a large organization
Very good knowledge of Data Governance and Data Quality best practices with proven experience
Proficiency in SQL, SSIS, Alteryx, PowerBI or other similar tools
Experience with data collection from various internal and external data sources
A strong professional background in data manipulation, data analytics, and / or system analysis
Highly detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy with data management
A good understanding of data distribution / interfacing methods & technologies including structured and unstructured data
Ability to work independently, multitask, and drive your own projects
Creative, result oriented, looking for innovative and pragmatic solutions
You speak fluently English, French / Luxembourgish / German are considered an asset.
