Portfolio Analyst - Luxembourg

To lead the assessment and prioritisation of the most complex requests in the Project Management Office to ensure that the project team delivers the most appropriate projects, achieving the best return of investment.
This role is to oversee the stream of projects from helicopter view making sure that the pipeline of projects presented for approval contains accurate and complete information prepared with a due scrutiny and excellence adheres to the overall growth and development strategy of Alter Domus.
YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AS A PORTFOLIO ANALYST :
To drive portfolio level activities for large, complex programs.
To check and verify executive reviews, capacity / budget forecasting, risk / obstacle resolution, product roadmaps and strategies.
To design, prepare dashboards and metrics.
To initially prioritize the pipeline of projects to match current strategy.
To prepare various portfolio related reports and analysis.
To build close relationships with all involved units (in Luxembourg and Global) to understand the demand for work coming and underlying drivers.
Facilitate regular sessions with the SME's across Alter Domus for estimates of requests and own the prioritisation based on those meetings and relationships.
Produce reports for scenario options in order to enable prioritisation decisions and to present at a senior-management level.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
Educated to a degree level in business or a related field of study.
A nationally recognised certification (Prince 2 or APM) in project management and experience of managing projects.
Proven experience of dependency mapping (Technology / Resource / Business strategy) and strong management of a project governance.
Proven experience of managing planning, monitoring, reporting and delivering benefits and outcomes.
Ability to develop a network and build relationships at all organisational levels.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
A strong consulting mind-set with ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
A strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile project delivery methodologies.
Ability to think critically and analytically to draw sound conclusions on the basis of complex data and an ability to make tough decisions when required.
Strong communication and relationship skills and an ability to disseminate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
