Amazon is seeking an ambitious and energetic Senior Finance Manager to join the fast paced world of European Finance Operations in our EU headquarters.

We are not an average retailer and this is definitely not an average finance position. We will give you the opportunity to really make a difference to our business.

The position will define, create, analyze and influence EU Operations in support of Real Estate decisions, EU Engineering Services projects and EU Capacity Planning.

This role will have heavy impact and high visibility to essential, business-critical processes, and will require interactions with Directors and VP's within Operations and Finance.

You will be in charge of a team of 4 finance analysts and you will partner with stakeholders such as the Operations business team, Engineering, Real Estate, and Fulfillment Center Finance.

You will leverage your educational and applied work experience to lead initiatives to streamline planning / reporting, as well as identify investment and cost savings opportunities within the Fulfillment Center network.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage your team to ensure key deadlines and projects are met, at the same time supporting their development.
  • Own & develop financial analysis ROI and NPV models driving Real Estate and Engineering decisions across the EU Operations Fulfillment network.
  • Carry out and drive post-investment ROI calculations.
  • Collaborate with operations personnel to model and drive process improvements and cost savings initiatives.
  • Partner with WW Finance teams on strategic projects to create and standardize WW processes.
  • Identify issues and enhancements to processes and tools, and implement new solutions in based on Stakeholders’ needs.
  • Facilitate financial review meetings with key partner business groups.

  • Degree in Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, Operational Research or other quantitative area or other degree with equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in performing financial and adhoc analyses using advanced Excel and providing recommendations based on results to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Evidence of stretch assignments that reflect superior performance in previous roles and previous ROI modeling experience.

  • MBA preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SQL, VBA, Oracle Financials and Cognos preferred.
  • Ability to thrive and grow quickly in a fast growing company.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented.
  • Proven ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions.
  • Proven ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing / Distribution / Fulfillment Center processes and systems is a plus.
  • Excellent grasp of corporate finance fundamentals.
