As a Corporate Controller with Hines, you will be responsible for the financial oversight of a group of real estate financial assets held within a fund structure.

You will have have oversight of the transfer agency function, treasury matters and corporate accounts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Lux GAAP and IFRS

Oversight and management of payroll processing for group companies

Reconciliation of fee income with underlying agreements

Preparation of budgets, forecasts and 3-year plans

Presentation of management accounts / forecasts / budgets / 3-year plans to COs and or board (as appropriate)

Liaison with internal audit

Liaison with internal and external insurance staff to ensure appropriate and continuous coverage

Regular review and planning of regulatory capital adequacy

Corporate governance

Manage the process of cost allocations by project

Prepare all schedules and supplementary information required for the Board of Managers

Reconcile accounting results to cash basis

Liaise with auditors and tax advisors on all transactions and technical reporting matters

Coordinate with advisors on the implementation of transfer pricing and filing of all tax returns

Manage all capital calls and distributions and production of statement of units

Build and develop strong relationships with local banks

Oversee the process and coordination of the opening of bank accounts

Oversee the coordination and compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements

Coordination of board activities

Participation on boards as a director of holding companies and property companies in investment structures managed by Hines

Coordinate regularly with Investment Management (IM) team in Houston, including the production or oversight of quarterly reports and projections, necessary for IM team’s financial reporting requirements


Minimum Requirements include :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Eight or more years' experience
  • CPA or ACCA qualifications (or equivalent)

    Manager level experience with a Big 4 accounting firm or manager level experience with a rapidly growing real estate firm

    Experience with real estate acquisitions and tax structuring

    Highly numerate with a strong skillset in representing the concepts of real estate investment accurately and efficiently in Excel form.

    Understanding of the conceptual framework of real estate investment and investment management more broadly

    Experience and understanding of AIFM reporting and regulatory requirements

    Strong understanding of the MS Office suite, most particularly Excel, but also PowerPoint and Word.

    Excellent communication skills with confident fluency in written and spoken English. Other languages are not required, but other European languages would be beneficial

    Experience with Bellin treasury software would be beneficial.
