Amazon is looking for a talented Product Manager to build a global capability around a Levy Management Product (LMP) for Amazon.
Levies are Non-VAT taxes on the importation or sale of specific products, such as Copy Levies (primarily on music, video and other digital products), alcohol taxes, sugar taxes or coffee taxes, which are then tracked, reported and remitted to local third-party collection agents.
As Product Management, you will be working to collect requirements from both customer facing and support teams, driving driving multiple Tech Teams across Amazon Systems from development through roll-
out and ensuring / auditing its proper functioning. This program is part of a multi-year effort to build a world-class LMP using the latest available technologies and tools.
The successful candidate will be an analytically-driven team player who is motivated to innovate and build scalable products in a fast-
paced and highly collaborative environment.
1. Work with partners teams (Legal, Tax, Finance, Compliance, Business) to define / update the requirements for the Global LMP;
2. Work with the relevant Tech Teams to get the Global LMP scoped, designed, properly planned and delivered (on time, on specs, on costs);
3. Own (working with relevant partner teams) the efficient operations of the Global LMP (auditing outputs, ensuring timely reporting / declaration / payments);
Master or MBA degree
5-8 years of work experience, of which at least 4 years’ experience in compliance or finance compliance operations;
Strong data skills (with Excel / Access / SQL) and the willingness to develop those further;
Experience working with Tech Teams;
Language requirement : Advanced English language skills (oral / written)
Exceptional analytical skills with a great attention to detail;
Excellent communication skills, (both oral / written);
Hands-on, results-oriented mentality, combined with the ability to drive and meet tight deadlines;
Experience working in and with international cross-functional teams (retail business, finance, legal, tax, accounting and finance operations);
