  • The Governance & Control team works with the Conducting Officers of the Management Company and ensures that all tasks or duties delegated to other entities of the TRP Group or externally are performed diligently, honestly and fairly, in the best interests of the clients.
  • As a 2nd line of defence, the Governance & Control team aims to provide senior management, conducting officers and board members with a robust, comprehensive and consistent oversight framework and reporting activities that contribute to the reduction of operational risk and respond to board and regulator’ expectations.
  • Acting with a high degree of autonomy and consistent with the above global aims, the Luxembourg based Governance & Control Manager will be involved in the oversight and monitoring of the outsourced activities and the creation, development and maintenance of the governance framework of the management company.
  • Although relatively small, the Governance & Control team has a broad range of responsibilities. This requires that the team operates in an entrepreneurial manner and the position holder would be encouraged to contribute fully to the strategic development of the function.
  • PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES : Monitoring of the oversight and control of delegated functions : · Supports Governance & Control activities associated with the governance infrastructure as applicable.

  • Supports and / or manages operational and / or governance aspects of the control processes of the delegated activities.
  • Aids and supports the development and monitoring of key controls across delegates, including update of the monthly Key Performance Indicators KPIs and participation to service review meetings.
  • Actively manages the coordination and remediation of open risks, issues and audit actions and ensure they are closed on a timely basis.
  • Control process tool improvement : · Perform analysis of existing business control processes to identify improvement opportunities and provide suggested future state changes.

  • Work with business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their problems and needs and to suggest solutions.
  • Introduce and manage tactical and / or strategic solutions.

    Reporting and documentation aspects : · Supports creation of materials for senior management, meetings, presentations as well as product governance meetings including boards and Executive Committee.

  • Perform follow-up on regulatory reporting filing / submission completed on behalf of the Management Company.
  • Supports and updates Management Company procedures, and policies related to the monitoring and control of delegated functions.
  • Regulatory changes Project management aspects : · Monitor regulatory changes that could impact the Management Company and coordinate their implementation within set timeframes.

  • Works with key partners in Operations, Legal, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Finance, etc.
  • to ensure successful implementation of new or modified products or governance model adjustments and enhancement of the oversight functions.

  • Whilst assisting in various aspects of the more project-oriented duties, escalates findings or issues to more senior staff.
  • PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS : Required : · Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience · 2 to 5 years of total relevant work experience · Relevant work experience within the Fund Operations in Luxembourg will be considered as a plus · Comprehensive knowledge of the Luxembourg investment funds products, regulations and business environments (including UCITS and AIFMD) · Must enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment · Flexibility, agility and ability to tenaciously pursue problem resolutions · Control and risk mindset · Ability to prioritize effectively, think laterally and manage deadlines · Ability to build strong, lasting relationships at all levels within the business unit, across various business units, with external service providers and clients / distributors · Good knowledge of Excel and MS Office based PC applications VBA macro knowledges will be considered as a plus
