Founded in 1856, the Banque Internationale à Luxembourg is the oldest multi-business bank in the Grand Duchy. From its foundation, the BIL has always played an active role in the development of the Luxembourg economy.
It currently operates in retail, private and corporate banking, as well as on major capital markets. Employing more than 1 800 people, the BIL is present in the financial hotspots that are Luxembourg, Switzerland, and China.
In this role, you will be in charge to develop, set up and upgrade learning solutions with focus on functional, regulatory and technical training.
You will manage various business and regulatory aspects in relation with the activities of the Human Resources as well as design and implement policies and procedures that would meet the regulatory and business requirements aligned with the long-term business strategy and plan of the bank.
You will guarantee the development and suitability of all the functions of the bank in line with the strategy of the Group.
You will lead a team and have responsibility and accountability for the learning needs planning, set-up and follow of the training, programs, processes and policies.
You will partner with Functional leaders and HR Advisors to will co-define near and long-term skills development roadmap to achieve talent requirements, organization evolution and BIL s continued relevance in the market.
Define and nurture a culture of lifelong learning and encourage ownership at an individual level;
Drive best practice in learning needs analysis, design, development, and delivery to create best in class development offerings;
Set-up the framework for learning planning : guidelines, tools, R&R and documentation in the system;
Facilitate the development and implementation of the plan in each function : from the identification of needs to the follow-up of training actions;
Provide insights, data and KPIs to trigger quality of service, improvement actions and return on learning investment;
Budget responsibility and reporting on training investments, budget committed and consumed by business line;
Identity, build or source the technical skills learning offer to meet present, future and long term development needs;
Lead the team to develop and deploy methods and internal way of working to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of learning;
Work end to end to build learning curricula and development paths enabling to support changes in the organization and in the teams;
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to continuously ensure technical training content creation and provision;
Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations in terms of training (mandatory, regulatory, prudential training, etc.) ;
Completing and managing the annual review of regulatory certifications of the bank's employees;
Manage the design and delivery of the onboarding program for all new starters;
Lead innovation in the use of learning technologies, user interfaces and formats through which our people access and consume learning (incl.
blended, gamification, social learning etc.).
Must Have Requirements
5+ years’ experience working in the following fields of expertise, preferably gained in the financial or consulting environment;
Experience with capabilities building gained in the HR department or other department (e.g. by overseeing the learning activities of a give function);
Experience in the set-up and supervision of a learning function or a training academy;
Experience of developing and innovate training, processes and policies;
Experience of managing day to day activities in relation with training (liaise with trainers or external providers, manage schedules and agendas, provide technical support, ) ;
Management experience of people, projects or teams;
Vendor management, partnership and networking both internally and externally;
Excellent communication and influencing skills across all mediums and at a senior level;
Ability to positively challenge and inspire others and encourage the pursuit of curiosity;
Committed to lifelong learning for self and others;
Creative and up to date on approaches to training, methods of learning and delivery.
