About the Role :
For our Ferrero Head Quarters in Luxembourg we are currently looking for a Category Development Manager for our Sales Business Development department.
Main Tasks :
Providing strategic guidance :
At Channel Level (e.g. Hyper Markets, Supers, Discounters, Convenience, Clubs, etc.) :
Gather insights, best practices & data;
Develop guidelines and strategic recommendations on the channel;
Improve execution excellence.
On existing Categories (e.g. Spreads, Pralines, etc.) :
Analyze category performance drivers (e.g. Assortment, Pricing, Visibility);
Influence and support Areas and Business Units in their portfolio management.
New Product Development :
Ahead of the launch : provide insights and recommendations to Central Marketing to ensure the right focus and understanding on Sales dimensions (e.
g. Range recommendation by channel, Merchandising, Shopper insights, Trade constraints to take into account, etc.).
Work cross-functionally way with Central / Area Marketing and local Trade Marketing / Category Management teams to ensure focus on right Sales / Category dimensions;
Maintain a high level of Retail / Category Management / Shopper knowledge and understanding to be able to nurture all stakeholders, also looking into more disruptive channels & new trends.
Who we are looking for :
MSc in Management, Economics or related;
8 years of experience in Category Management, Trade Marketing and / or Shopper Marketing roles in FMCG at central and / or local level;
Previous experience in Sales, Marketing, Merchandising and an international background are a plus;
Strong analytical skills and presentation skills;
Strong interpersonal and networking and influencing skills;
Good understanding of the Retail environment and its trends.
Fluent in English, any other language is a plus.
IT Skills :
Strong proficiency in MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel);
Audit tools (Nielsen / IRI);
Consumer panels (e.g. Kantar).
