Delegated Authorities Analyst

Overview :

Key Responsibilities :

  • Delegated Authorities
  • To assist the TME Compliance and Legal department in all the following areas : development, implementation, administration, legal and compliance, in the matter of Delegated Authorities.
  • To ensure the implementation of the TME Delegated Authority Framework throughout TME and its branches.
  • To ensure that compliance requirements are properly understood by all business units and staff therein by way of regular training, the coordination and dissemination of relevant regulatory notifications or association circulars and assisting with the meaningful translation of requirements into business procedures.
  • To collect all information relevant for the Due Diligences and renewal processes, perform those processes, and request review and approval.
  • To draft and review the Binding Authority Agreements.
  • To maintain the systems and registers up to date with the relevant information.
  • To anticipate the schedule of new delegations and renewals to come.
  • To participate in the assessment and putting in place of new delegations.
  • To assist in the Delegated Authority audit process : collect all the information in advance, monitor the audit schedule and organize the planning, perform the audit risk assessments on an annual basis, and ensure the follow-up of the audit findings.
  • To assist with the reporting on Delegated Authority arrangements and the use of third parties to the Product Governance & Distribution Committee ( PGDC’).
  • General Compliance
  • To assist the Department in all the matters relating to outsourcing and intermediaries : collecting the information, performing the checks and / or due diligences, adapting the agreements, monitoring the intermediaries, service providers and outsources, keeping the systems and registers up-to-date
  • To provide guidance and training as necessary to others in the company on compliance with regulatory rules pertaining to the use of third parties and circulate information to key stakeholders within the organisation as appropriate.
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with all business units within TME and its branches.
  • Production of / input to Compliance Reports and provision of management information for reporting to various committees, as required.
  • Provide oral and written compliance and legal advice and solutions to the business.
  • Identifying, reporting, recording, analysing and escalating incidents and breaches.
  • Ad-hoc projects and tasks as required by Tokio Marine Europe.
  • Skills and Experience Specification :


  • Degree-level academic qualification
  • Minimum of 3 / 4 years’ previous compliance and / or legal experience within the insurance market.
  • Multi-lingual : English and French essential. Spanish and / or Italian useful.
  • Good IT skills are essential, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Expected to frequently travel to the branches.
