The EU Transportation team is responsible for ensuring that packages make it to customers on time everyday across the EU at the best speed and cost.
We do this by creating and building relationship with logistics providers and working with internal teams to ultimately build and manage a resilient, scalable network.
We’re seeking an experienced, hands-on, and customer-obsessed leader to build out EU-level risk management and contingency plans to ensure a reliable network.
Within the Transportation team, you will be responsible for driving improvements to complex logistics problems, working across many groups of stakeholders to define, document, and enable standard ways of working that reduce risk and increase the network ability to quickly adapt when risks materialize.
You will be engaging, creative, open to ideas, and strong-willed to drive change.
Responsibilities Create a risk management strategy and working group, working in an ambiguous space Engage stakeholders across the company to align on a common goal and approach Drive definition of risk and solutions with internal teams, and when appropriate other teams like external carriers, fulfilment centers, customer service and Retail teams to ensure a great customer experience Create ways to document, store, and share standards in a way that make adoption simple for geographically dispersed teams Drives innovation by taking ownership of new projects and its operational success BASIC QUALIFICATIONS A degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, Engineering, Mathematics or similar field Relevant experience in Transportation or Supply Chain, preferably in a similar role, within a high-
volume logistics, manufacturing or engineering environment Excellent customer service skills and commercial understanding Ability to drive complex analysis, and making data driven decisions Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences.
Fluent written and spoken English Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s level degree or higher preferred.
Familiarity with operations and supply chain management concepts - forecasting, planning, optimization, logistics - gained through work experience or graduate level education.
