Relationship Manager - Financial Institutions (m / f)

The Wholesale Banking department is responsible for managing and developing relationships with corporate clients by providing financial solutions from the full range of services offered by ING Group.

Job description :

As a Relationship Manager Financial Institutions, you are responsible for quality and depth of client relationships and overall financial performance of FI clients in the assigned client portfolio, including :

  • Acting as the first point of contact for the client and relevant internal stakeholders across products and network countries
  • Developing strategic client account plans considering client needs, business potential and appropriate risk allocation
  • Being responsible for the credit quality, KYC validity and other regulatory requirements of the portfolio
  • Marketing the full range of ING’s products to act as the Bank’s representative to clients up to Board Level
  • Originating, leading, negotiating and closing new transactions in close cooperation with the relevant product specialists
  • Identifying new opportunities, acquiring new business opportunities with prospect clients in accordance with the bank’s growth strategy and risk appetite
  • Developing and coordinating knowledge sharing, fostering a culture of collaboration, client focus, continuous improvement and innovation within the team
  • Your profile :

    Competencies / Behavior :

  • Deep knowledge of Financial Institutions, including funds and custody activity
  • Self-starter, disciplined approach and result oriented;
  • Sensitivity and training to the professional obligations of the Luxembourg financial community as they result from the law on the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism;
  • Developed commercial sense, excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to analyze and summarize, sense of responsibility, flexibility, autonomy, commitment and team spirit.
  • Experience :

  • Minimum 4 years of higher education with an economic, legal or tax orientation
  • Minimum of 6 years of banking experience at a relevant position
  • Languages :

  • Fluency in French and English. Knowledge of other languages, in particular Dutch and German will be considered an asset
