The role : Data Analyst, Supply Chain The EU Supply Chain Analytics team is seeking an exceptionally talented Analyst to lead the continuous effort to accelerate our European fulfillment network.
As a member of the European Supply Chain organization, you will play an integral part in Amazon EU's inventory management and fulfillment by successfully partnering with various teams across operations, IT, retail, and finance to support new business initiatives.
You thrive in an complex, ambiguous and constantly evolving environment and work well with stakeholders across many business functions and senior leadership.
In this role, you will be leading all analytical activities related to the largest 2019 project to accelerate the speed of deliveries across EU.
The overarching theme is to use data to determine how to best leverage a new transportation asset, available in limited capacity : Create, extract and model complex data (>
1TB) to deliver clear insights (including data visualization), and guide project team into the right course of action.
Go deep into the details of the transportation network to control / audit if it is behaving as expected, and identify improvement opportunities among dozens of dimensions Work with teams of software developers, research scientists and business intelligence analysts to design the next round of software innovation.
Build the business case with benefits, bottlenecks, risks and resources required Provide crisp and concise data-driven status updates of the overall project to senior leadership, and participate to project meeting to share guidance into removing bottlenecks Partner with Finance teams to prove the long-
term economics of accelerating customer deliveries, and contribute actively to the bi-annual financial planning process Think big, recommend innovative solutions for complex fulfillment problems, and prepare the 3-
year roadmap paving the way to the future of Amazon operations in Europe BASIC QUALIF ICATIONS The ideal candidate has 4-
6 years of experience working in analytics, if possible in transportation or supply chain management (forecasting, planning, optimization, logistics) Ability and strong willingness to use data to answer first time asked questions, and solve large-scale ambiguous problems.
Used to rely on data to influence roadmaps and stakeholders in order to positively impact customer experience in the long-
term, despite competing priorities Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-
solve and prioritize An entrepreneurial mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in fast-paced environment Liaising and collaborating with internal partners will also require negotiation skills.
